Glenorchy

After out jetboating excursion, we took a pretty hike guided by one of the Dart River Safari guides. He led us through a Beechwood forest and gave us some interesting facts on indiginous trees and birds. He also gave us all sorts of Lord of the Rings facts too! This is where we saw the alleged tree Treebeard the Ent was modelled on.

After the hike, we took a bumpy bus ride back to Glenorchy. Then to our little green rent-a-car (called a KA) and back to Queenstown.

On the road back to Glenorchy after jetboating. This house was built by a man in the 1800's for his fiance in Britain. She later decided to marry his father and never saw the house.
