Queenstown
Day
7, Friday: we drove back to Queenstown today. We arrived back
at the Queenstown Heritage
Hotel and put our bags down and made appointments for massages
for later that afternoon. We then went into town for lunch and
a little fresh air. This is when we had our brush with fame: we
met Shrek.
Shrek
is the famous hermit sheep that was discovered after 6 years living
in the hills and was front page news while we were in NZ. He was
remarkably friendly, which is odd for any sheep, let alone one
that lived alone all those years.
That
evening, after our wonderful massages, we went back to dinner
at the great little restaurant we had tried, and loved, earlier
in the week. It was a great day.
